Paul Mitchell made a name for himself as the "hairdresser's hairdresser". He was a passionate hairdresser and won numerous competitions. His philosophy was to give his customers the opportunity to style their hair easily and simply at home with the right tools. Paul Mitchell provided them with the tools and techniques to do this. He succeeded in passing on his "Wash and Wear" and "Sculpting" techniques. He died in 1989 and his son has been running the world-famous company ever since.
Paul Mitchell(R) was one of the first hair cosmetics companies to speak out against experiments on animals. This and numerous charitable activities continue to set standards in the industry today.
